Das Trio Æther (Akkordeon, Viola, Saxophon) ist ein junges Ensemble mit Sitz in München, das sich auf die Aufführung zeitgenössischer Musik spezialisiert. Sein Debüt feierte das Trio im Rahmen der Klasse von Geneviève Strosser bei den Internationalen Ferienkursen für Neue Musik in Darmstadt 2025. Die außergewöhnliche Instrumentenkombination eröffnet neue klangliche Horizonte und fordert Komponist*innen heraus, unbekannte Wege zu beschreiten.

Das Ensemble arbeitet eng mit internationalen Komponist*innen zusammen und gibt regelmäßig neue Werke in Auftrag, wodurch ein einzigartiges Repertoire für diese seltene Besetzung entsteht. Mit seiner Arbeit möchte das Trio nicht nur zur Erweiterung der Kammermusik beitragen, sondern auch den interkulturellen Austausch fördern und ein vielfältiges Publikum für zeitgenössische Musik begeistern.

 

Trio Æther (accordion, viola, saxophone) is a young ensemble based in Munich, dedicated to the performance of contemporary music. The trio made its debut within the class of Geneviève Strosser at the International Summer Courses for New Music in Darmstadt in 2025. With its rare instrumental combination, the ensemble opens new sonic horizons and inspires composers to explore uncharted paths.

By collaborating closely with international composers and commissioning new works, the trio is creating a distinctive repertoire for this unusual instrumentation. Its mission is not only to expand the chamber music landscape but also to foster intercultural dialogue and to engage diverse audiences with the richness of contemporary music.
